Position Description
The OE is the heart of the company. The OE supports all cycles of the Unimacts sell to cash process. The OE supports the Sales Executive on sales calls, helps define the best solution for the customer and takes responsibility for execution of that solution. The OE oversees and manages the profitability of projects by establishing total cost targets, collaborating with the Sales Exec for customer pricing, and by leading the global team of Project Managers to deliver product at or under the cost target.

The OE is responsible to review customer RFQs, drawings and technical details, and to oversee the conversion of these requests into outgoing RFQs to our global team and suppliers. The OE is responsible for managing the project technical specification to include responding to queries from customers and suppliers as well as reconciling differences and gaining customer approval of any specification non-conformances throughout the RFQ and manufacturing processes. The OE will determine the "should cost" for manufactured items and/or services. The OE will oversee and execute the assigned portions of the Unimacts Operating System (UOS) which is our process to deliver perfect products and services to customers, on time, every time. The OE must support the FAI, PPAP, or other customer documentation and approval processes once contracts are awarded.

Qualifications

  • Hands on, self-starter, enjoys leading projects and ad-hoc global teams
  • 5+ years of engineering, manufacturing or sourcing of engineered mechanical components
  • Solid understanding of the sourcing process, from specification and RFQ to approval and delivery
  • Basic understanding of industrial manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of a PPAP process - process flows, control plans, FMEA, Gauge R&R, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Databases Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes - POs, invoices, etc.

Desired Qualifications

  • Sourcing and supply chain consulting - ability to lead a consulting project
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning and execution systems
  • Low cost country supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and ISO 900x certification requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering
  • Proven ability to sell

Additional Information

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus quarterly bonus based on performance
  • Travel: 25 to 50% travel - both domestic and international

Sourcing Project Manager (PM)

Position Description
Unimacts is seeking a Sourcing Project Manager (SPM) for it's China Operations. The key responsibilities of this person are to identify, screen, qualify and continuously coach and improve regional suppliers to meet Unimacts' stringent quality standards for engineered industrial products and assemblies. The SPM will work with these suppliers and with our U.S. and European customers to set and meet manufacturing schedules, obtain sample part approvals, and deliver documented, qualified products. The SPM will need to manage the supplier's production and quality control and logistics in China and communicate directly to Unimacts and Customer personnel in North America and Europe.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, primarily in production, procurement or quality/process control
  • Ability to read factory drawings and bill-of-materials; understand Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances
  • Good computer skills - MS Excel, MS Word, email, internet browser, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and is highly organized
  • Multilingual -Chinese fluency plus strong written English and very good spoken English skills
  • University degree
  • Understanding of the sourcing process and basic supplier management
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing cost analysis
  • Understanding of quality systems

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years of engineering, manufacturing or sourcing of engineered mechanical components, including sourcing and supply chain project experience
  • Experience with supply contracts, global logistics and import/export
  • Experience with manufacturing, approval, and quality control of industrial goods exported to Western Customers
  • Experience in CAD and CAM systems and solid modeling (e.g. Solidworks, Pro-Engineer, Unigraphics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, ISO 900x certification requirements, PPAP, etc.
  • Experience with western manufacturing techniques (lean manufacturing, JIT, etc.)
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering
  • Driver's license and skills

Additional Information

  • Compensation:Base salary, monthly bonus
  • Travel: 50 to 75% travel - mostly domestic and possibly international

Position Description
This business executive will lead all aspects of Unimacts’ client relationships for a number of targeted accounts. The GSCE will work very closely with the “Client Operations Executive” to define, sell and deliver an integrated end-to-end supply source solution for the client. The GSCE will position a set of products and services that will provide a significant value proposition for the client. The GSCE will continue to lead the Unimacts relationship with the client after the sale and be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and pursuing follow-on opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • 10+ years, in commercial roles, in manufacturing
  • Proven ability to sell and exceed quota
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing products and processes
  • Familiarity with supply chain planning and execution systems
  • Understanding of engineering design systems and processes
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and ISO 900x certification requirements
