Overview:
In addition to the castings, forgings and fabrications that Unimacts can provide you, we can machine all of these components as well; or we can machine your parts from raw stock. Ultimately, the more value-added services we can provide for each component, the greater the value proposition for you. Processes:
Unimacts has hundreds of thousands of square feet of machine shop capabilities. Most of these shops are co-located with the foundries or forges, or located close by to enable efficient operations and flow. Unimacts has hundreds of lathes, vertical and horizontal boring machines, multi-axis milling machines, planers and grinding equipment.

Materials:
Though the majority of the components we machine are Fe based alloys, we have extensive experience with Al, Cu, and Mg based alloys.

Sizes:
Unimacts has a wide range of capabilities in its network. We are quite comfortable with parts ranging from 1 lb up to many tons (Unimacts has access to some of the largest machining capabilities in the world), with our sweet spot being in the 5 lb to 10,000 lb range. We generally avoid extremely small, ultra-precision parts.

Unit volumes:
Unimacts targets low to medium volume ranges with annual part volumes of 1 to 50,000 parts. Generally speaking, we don’t have the facilities to compete on extremely high volume parts.
