There are two key components to supplier development. First, using rigorous criteria, we selected and continue to upgrade our global supply base. Second, using Six Sigma quality framework, we partner with our strategic suppliers to improve their operations, reduce their costs and integrate them seamlessly into the Unimacts core global supply network.

Our customer have access to a broad network of capability and significant capacity through Unimacts’ global supply base. Each supplier in our network has gone through a two level audit to qualify to participate in the network. First, we deploy rigorous screening methodology to pre-qualify potential suppliers. Second, we conduct an in-depth strategic audit at the supplier facilities to determine which suppliers we want to partner with at the strategic level. Only the very best suppliers become our strategic partners. Many of our strategic suppliers have a long history of supplying leading companies including General Electric, Textron, and others.

We understand that our customers expect us to deliver continuously greater value, year after year. We work very closely with our strategic suppliers on identifying and improving the way the business is done, with an eye on constantly improving the cost structure, efficiency and effectiveness of our network. We have developed a low cost country supplier six sigma methodology that is helping us continuously eliminate defects and reduce cost. These savings then get translated to even better value for our customers.
