Position Description

Unimacts is seeking a Cost Accountant for its Tijuana Operations. The Cost Accountant will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. This position will maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. The successful candidate will have knowledge in accounting principles and be comfortable working with numbers and attention to detail. The goal for the Cost Accountant is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and its finances. This position will report directly to Tijuana plant Accounting Manager.

Position Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Inventory reconciliations and inventory transactions.
• Knowledge of Inventory Control, BOM’s and Production Work Orders.
• Transact accounts receivable and issue invoices.
• Transact accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
• Month End activities leader for Journal Entries, Accruals, Accounts reconciliation-recognition; MOH Expense Allocation by Product Line.
• P&L and BS weekly pulse review for Major Variances vs Trend.
• Assistance in regards of Costing issues, Internal Controls, Engineering-BOM analysis.
• Assist with reviewing of expenses and Direct Cost Accounts.
• Perform Monthly accruals according to the financial operations.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven experience as a Cost accountant.
• Excellent organizing abilities, scheduling and monitoring.
• Able to analyze complex data.
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Experience ERP’s (QuickBooks, Fishbowl, ORACLE, SAP).
• 75% fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
