Position Description

Unimacts is seeking a Program Manager (PM) for its Tijuana Operations. Our employees are “industrial business athletes” and can be effective in many roles. The PM will use skills to coordinate project timelines, schedules and equipment while ensuring safety and quality guidelines are followed. PM will manage all project related activities from Customer order to production. PM will facilitate internal and external communication to ensure the project is completed on time and in compliance with the customer requirements.  The PM position will report directly to the Tijuana plant manager and as part of multi-functional teams across the broader Unimacts network.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Internal resources with a third parties’ supplier (if it is required) for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Report as escalate issues and project delays as needed.
• Perform Risk Management to minimize project Risk.
• Create and maintain the Project documentation.
• Planning and monitoring the project from receipt of PO until the start of production.
• Direct, manage and motivate team members.
• Monitor and report on project progress.
• Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
• Inform Customer of the status of the project on an ongoing basis.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive actions and accountability for their assigned work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading teams or project management work in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma application in manufacturing, Quality Management Systems (ISO9001 or similar).
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle time-sensitive tasks.
• Be client focused: collaborative, innovative and strategic.
• Strong computer skills – MS Excel, Word, Teams email ERP etc. as well as basic CAD skills.
• Experience with Single unit assembly principles an advantage.
• Multilingual – Spanish / English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or mechanical engineering.

Additional Information

Compensation: Base salary, monthly bonus
Travel: 10% – mostly domestic and possibly international
